Book Review:

First let me tell you that Shadow of the Wolf is one spontaneous and remarkable read. I loved each one to pages. Chris and Alannah’s passion heats up the pages that left me all warm up inside… Not to mention I had to fan myself which is funny considering how cold these days and nights are right now. Not to mention how much I enjoy that as soon as Chris and Alannah first meet the sparks just fly. I couldn’t help be laugh out loud at their banter. I also couldn’t help but fall for the way Chris charmed the pants off of Alannah... no pun intended.

There is danger surrounding Chris and his family. He will be damned if just let his enemy lay his hands on his mate. And can I say wow! There isn’t Chris and Alannah wouldn’t do for each other as the story progresses.

I love all Dana Marie Bell novels and of course it’s no surprise at how much I love Shadow of the Wolf as well. I don’t know who the next lucky couple will be in this series but I am 100 percent sure it will be worth the wait.

There’s more, believe me plenty of more I can say about SotW but you all will have to get your own copy to find out for yourselves. Oh don’t forget to put some time aside to read Shadow of the Wolf because you will not want to stop reading this novel until the very end.

Book Review:

Rini Campbell is on a repo job when she meets sex on wheels Lucas Granger. Somehow Lucas convinces Rini to wait until he comes up the money to pay off the repo. But unfortunately things go from wrong to worse when Lucas delivery doesn’t go as planned.

I love this story. This is what I call the sexy version of Stars Wars couple, Han Solo and Leia Skywalker. Rini and Lucas have such an amazing chemistry together even though half the time they hate each other. Each has the wrong opinion about one another.

Rini at times comes off like a heartless bitch but we later learn the reason she’s become the way she has.

I want to say I can’t stop grinning at the sexy banter between Rini and Lucas. Real sweet and humorous banter. And before you know it the so called heartless bitch realizes she has fallen in love. Too bad Lucas had to ruin the moment when he thinks she looks like she is going to puke, which has me laughing out for a while.

And of course the danger returns… Lucas last assignment wants revenge and at any means necessary.

Then of course this mean author brings on the angst which brings on the tears. Of course had to stop reading for awhile to compose myself from being all choked up inside. (Btw... thanks a lot for that Jodi)

And that is all I can say. I have to say this is one tale I shall not be forgetting any time soon. It’s already becoming one of my favorites.

Gabriel is in trouble. He has been apart from his mate, Sarah for a very long time. Its time to claim Sarah as his mate once and for all. Too bad, he did not count on how hurt and stubborn Sarah is with him.

Sarah is hurt and furious with Gabriel. It looks like he is no longer interested in her. He has been communicating more with that server, Chloe instead of Sarah. She is not going to sit around and wait for him. No, she is going to try to make him jealous with her friend, Jim.

Gabe is through playing second fiddle to Jim. He is going to get his mate back if it is the last thing he does.

Dana Marie Bell is going to wow her readers and fans once more. She brings fans her latest Halle Pumas novel, Only In My Dreams. In it, we finally get the read about Sarah and Gabe.

In Ms. Bell’s Only In My Dreams, she does not hold back in regards of Gabe and Sarah’s love life. Sara and Gabe lives are put through the ringer. You definitely will have to hold back a couple of tears once you read the pain Sarah goes through--oh yeah, Gabriel too.

It certainly does not help that other people involved (Chloe and Jim) are in the way of Gabriel’s way of claim his mate.

This short novel is a fast-paced drama that will keep my readers glued to their seats until the very end.

The only thing that I did not like… (Gasp…how is that even remotely even possible?) is Chloe. You will just have to read why since I do not want people coming after for spoiling OiMD for them.

Overall, this is a great addition to the Halle Pumas series.

I give Only In My Dreams a rating of 5 Stars.

I must admit I wanted to smack the shit out of Trixie more than once. She has does not really know what hell she wants. She can certainly be a charming girl but at the same time be a spoiled ass little bitch too. Her daddies have finally stood up to her crazy antics. Even though Trixie has had to put up with a lot from her classmates torture about her family, she is never back down from a fight. Trixie has really been sheltered for too long from the real world. I shudder to think just how terrible Trixie's younger twin sisters will be once they hit that legal age.

Luckily, for her, Trixie is now going out in the real world and actually work for a living.

She now has more men than even Trixie does not know if she handled.

Trixie finds herself once again way over her head. She cannot help feeling horny as hell when it comes to Mitch, Brock and Rory.

Just when things are heating sky high between Trixie and her men, a deranged man from her mother’s past comes into her life.

Destined Desires is even more amazing than its predecessor is, Forbidden Heart is. Nothing against Forbidden Heart, but I could not help love Destine Desires a bit more.

Even though the story revolves around Rihanna and Bryce, Ms. Wills manages to include a lot more on her previous leading characters of Moira and Shaye. This ingenious idea just made the storyline flow nicely and made it even more exciting.

I love this Ms. Wills original writing skills. Usually authors just include a mini background on their previous leading characters but you will not find that here. As much as I love discovering new leading characters to love, I am always left wondering what happened to the previous leading ones.

The action heats up in Destined Desires. There is even more at stake when the wicked bitch of the fae world is back once more to claim what she thinks belongs solely to her: Shaye.

In the off chance, you do not know who said bitch I am referring to; well you just have to get your copy of both books in this series to find out.

However, since I am not a total witch, I will let you know whom I am talking about in this instance. The hell on earth fae bitch also known as Daenna is one of the vilest creatures to walk this world.

She will stop at nothing to get Shaye back under her mercy. Daenna. This time she finds more allies to help with her dirty work.

Kate who has now turned to completely jealous shrew has joined up with the fae bitch, Daenna. Daenna uses Kate’s jealously to her advantage. However, no matter how bad Kate now is, she has no clue what the hell she has gotten into.

Destined Desires, just adds to the awesomeness that is Talaeman Fae series.

However, I do have one more thing to say about one particular stand out character in Destined Desires. I consider Horano, one character I shall unlikely forget about anytime soon. I just love him to death. He is one of the most mysterious and intriguing characters I have read about. I love the way he is with Moira. Not that I do not love Shaye, there just something about Horano that makes me love him a bit more. It is a damn shame Moira is with Shaye. My inner slut just loves the idea of the idea of Moira having two mates in Shaye and most definitely, Horano.

Okay, I have rambled long enough.

So let’s get to the good stuff.

What has changed in your life now that you have a published book that soon to be released upcoming bestseller?

Aww - bless. One of the biggest things is now get to talk to lovely people like yourself and Estefanie. Seriously, people actually want to know stuff about me and my books. Amazing. I even got a request for a signed photograph which I thought only happened to models and actors. And getting my first fan email was such a thrill. It is nice to know that there are people out there reading and liking my book. Besides that, my life has just become busier. Juggling family, a day job, promotion and writing takes a lot of energy.

What can you tell us about your characters, Antoinette and Christian?

Firstly my race of Vampires are called the Aeternus and when they go bad they succumb to what is called Necrodrenia. So the Aeternus are the “good” ones and the necrodreniacs, or dreniacs as they are referred to, are the “bad” ones.

Antoinette is one angry young woman. At the age of six she witnessed her mother’s murder at the hands of an Aeternus, not a dreniac, and she’s sort of declared war on both races by becoming a top notch Venator (dreniac hunter). She’s held her rage on slow simmer for a very long time and when her world turns upside down it sometimes make her act irrationally or impetuously, often against her better judgement. Sometimes I just wanted to smack her upside the head myself. She also has a lot of inner strength and I think as the series progress and we her embrace things I think this will become more apparent.

Christian is a 400 year old Aeternus from an old aristocratic bloodline. He is loyal to those close to him and very dedicated to his work. Antoinette brings out something in him he finds a little disturbing. He has his own scars, and his own guilt to contend with, which often makes his interactions with Antoinette explosive, whether it’s in disagreement or making love. One thing that I sometimes find a little annoying with vampire stories is that vampire protagonists often despise what they are. There is nothing more annoying after a while than a “oh woe is me, I’m such a monster” type. Not so with mine Christian is Aeternus and is proud of it.

What was your writing process when you first started working on Night’s Cold Kiss?

Wow! You really are grilling me. When I started NIGHT’S COLD KISS, I wrote sporadically. I wanted to write this story in my head, but I didn’t really think it would be anything more than doing it for myself. I knew nothing about the craft of writing and had to learn everything. I started to do workshops and read how to books. Then I entered the first 3 chapters into a couple of contests. When the feedback I received was enthusiastic, I ramped honing my craft. NIGHT’S COLD KISS was my learning book and I am so very, very pleased it was picked up.

How long did it take for Night’s Cold Kiss to be completed. Like how much time did

it take from the moment you turned in your manuscript of NCK to the publisher?

I started NCK in January 2005. As I said previously I went through a large learning curve and it went through several rewrites. When I first started the book, Antoinette’s family not only trained hunters, but were also owned and performed in a travelling circus. That changed on advice I received. I kinda miss it though, it had some great characters.

My editor bought NCK in August 2008 and the final version was done and dusted pretty much November 2008. So from start to finish Night’s Cold Kiss took me just over 3 ½ years to write.

Do you have another job besides being a published writer?

Yes — I work full time in IT as an analyst programmer.

How do you deal with the demands of family with your professional life?

At the moment, badly. My children are grown so they can pretty much take care of themselves. My husband supports my writing, but I have neglected him over the last couple of years. I’m still trying to find the right balance in my life.

Is it true that you are almost done with the sequel to Night’s Cold Kiss?

Yes – I have handed in my second book titled DEATH’S SWEET EMBRACE and started book three. It was such a different book to write than the first and I learned quite a bit about it and myself in the process.

How many books do you have planned for the Dark Brethren Novels?

I don’t really have a definitive number of books in mind. There is so much more about my worked that I want to introduce readers to. From elven drug lords who make potent narcotics from plants and run the drugs through a race of bear shape-shifting bikers to dark Djinn who use 3 wishes to trap people so they then possess their bodies and wear them like clothing to Mer environmental terrorists targeting the land races for polluting their oceans. I’m currently contracted for 3 books so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how they go.

As for the sequels, do you plan to continue on with Antoinette’s adventures or will have a new heroine and hero in the next book?

Antoinette’s story isn’t over but that doesn’t mean she is going to be the main character all the time. I look at this kind of like a TV series in a way where the focus on one episode may be on different people, but the threads of the other characters still come through.

I don’t want to give away anything, but this next book has a different hero and heroine. Kitt is a snow leopard felian and Raven is a wolf canian. Actually again I have different terms and rules for them – Animalians instead of weres or shape-shifters. It is a complex world and the rules are difficult to explain quickly.

What are your favorite online places that you visit often?

Night Time Romance Reviews of course. And there are a number of blogs like the Sci-fi Guy, Deadline dames and Fangs, Fur, & Fey that are my favourite stops. Love Vampire is really cool for vampire stuff and I’ve just started visiting Michele Hauf’s Vamp Chix blog as well. Actually there are far too many to name.

Do you have favorite author?

You ask all the tough questions. Again there are so many. Stephen King, Raymond E. Feist and Anne McCaffrey are right up there as my all time favourites. Lately I have been enjoying Jocelynn Drake’s Dark Days series, though I have only read NIGHTWALKER at the moment. Vicki Pettersson’s zodiac series is also awesome. I don’t get nearly as much time to read as I would like to. Also Keri Arthur and Nalini Singh are fabulous. But I have some others outside of Paranormal as well like Anna Campbell, Anne Gracie and another debut author Kris Kennedy all who write wonderful and different historicals.

What was the last book you read, last movie you saw and last song you heard on the radio?

I am currently reading THE CHILD THIEF by Brom. It’s an awesome modern, dark and twisted take on Peter Pan where it’s not all magic and wonder in Neverland. I love it. And the illustrations are awesome.

The last movie I saw was Police Academy 4 on late night TV last night, but the last movie I saw at the cinema was either Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen or Terminator 4. I can’t remember which because it was a while ago.

The last song on the radio. I don’t rightly know. I was last listening to one of my favourite bands Rammstein on CD.

What do you do on your spare time? Do you have any spare time?

Sleep – and I don’t get much of that. Any spare time I try to spend with my family by seeing a movie with my boys or watching a DVD with my husband. I love movies almost as much as I love books.

Last question of the night.

What is it about vampires do you think that drives the world to go crazy over?

It is really a hard thing to put my finger on. I think for me there is something very intimate about penetrating fangs and sharing of bodily fluid. It can be excitingly dangerous that a vampire could rip out your throat as quick as kiss you. Today’s vampires are more often heroes than villains and made to be sexy but vampires of old were not so nice. I like them too, the monsters. I love a good scare. It makes the adrenalin pump and makes you feel alive. Also there is the fact that most are immortal and aren’t bound by the same moral or legal constraints as us mere mortals which offers a kind of freedom. To walk in the shoes of a vampire for a short time in the pages of a book gives us a taste of immortality.

Merit is back. She is facing a new problem that Merit does not know she is ready to deal with at this time. Chloe Neill has returned with the most anticipated sequel this year. Merit has finally moved into Cadogan House. She is currently dating rival master Morgan but cannot seem to help wonder if he is the one.

Ethan has managed to ‘order’ Merit to get back into her father’s good graces in order to figure out a dangerous plot out to destroy the peace between the vampires, humans and other species.

There is more intrigue going on that even Ethan did not count on. Merit has her work cut out for her if she is discover the real culprit(s).

Like the previous Chicagoland Vampire Novel, Ms. Neill continues to charm us with her vivid imagination and exciting characters.

Her plot just thickens with her who done it storyline that get more addicting with each new page. In addition, things are sure heating up between the love triangle of Morgan, Merit and Ethan.

I definitely cannot help myself. I have read this over and over again. I lost count just how many times I have read Friday Night Bites. I love of both Merit men and/or potential men. However, I am definitely on Team Morgan.

Sorry for the ramblings about my new favorite male character Morgan that I cannot but talk about.

Let the good times roll, because fans have spoken and finally got their favorite Sookie Stackhouse’s short stories all in one collection.

Charlaine Harris has created a wonderful world involving her heroine, Sookie Stackhouse. With A Touch of Dead is no exception with the Ms. Harris keeping up with her excellent writing talents.

I am huge fan of all the Southern Vampires Series and I really had no idea she had all these amazing short stories in print books for fans and readers could read.

These short stories have gotten under in my skin. I just keep getting more and more addicted with anything written by Ms. Harris.

A Touch of Dead is a definite must have for all fans of Charlaine Harris.

Once I got over the screaming of receiving my copy of A Touch of Dead in the mail that I immediately locked myself in my room. There I slowly read and savored every page immensely. No one ruined my moments reading about Sookie, Eric and all the characters in this Southern Vampires universe.

I definitely recommend A Touch of Dead as one of the must have this fall season 2009!

I give A Touch of Dead a rating of 5 Screams.

In case anyone was wondering where I've been. My computer up and died on me October 1st. I had it sent to get serviced but they couldn't revive it.

So luckily for me I had extended warranty on it and the store where I bought gave me a new replacement. I love my new laptop and of course I got a new extended warranty.

Well, that's the good news. The bad news is that because I didn't have access to a computer for almost a month, I now have at least ten books I have to complete my reviews on. So, with that said. I am going to be working around the clock this week to complete my reviews. I had such a blast reading Lover Enslaved. From the very beginning, I was hooked on Ms. Redford book.

Dash and Mara are wonderful characters but the one that stole the show is tiny Piper. She totally rocks!

Piper comes off like a little pain in the ass but as the story, moves on you can’t help but love the little devil. I loved the banter between Piper and Mara. Classic!

As the story, progresses we are introduced to Dash’s brother Jerrick and a former sidekick Avily Donahue. Jerrick and Avily have their own sexual tension going on that should distract readers from Mara and Dash’s storyline. But they just add to their own special magic to Lover Enslaved. Can’t help but be hopeful that Jerrick and Avily will get their own story.

There is plenty of more action, drama and hilarious sexy love scenes. Last but no least I want to pay homage to Ms. Jodi Redford for creating this story, characters plus the one and only Piper.

I give Lover Enslaved a rating five Screams.

Sadly, her drawing skills haven’t improved much, but her love of fantasy worlds never went away. These days she writes about fairies, ghosts and other supernatural creatures, only with considerably more heat.

She has won numerous contests, including The Golden Pen and Launching a Star.

When not writing or working the day job, she enjoys gardening and way too many reality television shows.

Melina is such a headstrong woman who’s met her match in Devon. I love how much Devon cares for Melina yet stands up to her as well. He’ll give her the world if she wanted but doesn’t let her go all crazy to protect Melina from those who want to destroy him.

Devon has never met anyone like Melina before. He just couldn’t stop but fall in love with her at first sight. But Melina on the other hand is attractive to Devon yet manages to push every one of his buttons. She drives him crazy yet he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Like every other great novel, there has to be evil guys as well as drama to make the story flow.

Stephanie Julian is no ordinary writer. She can bring the magic of her words to enchant many a reader. And Seduced by Two is by far one the most creative and intriguing novels, I have recently read. I definitely love how Ms. Julian outside the box with this addicting series.

In Seduced by Two, we discover that there is more going on in the world than a human knows. We learn about Nica and her great sorrow at being summoned home by her familial obligations. She is distraught until the night she meets Jensen and his twin brother Tanner. Together they bring Nica more joy and happiness than she’s felt in a very long time.

It’s just too bad that there’s an evil organization out to harm Nica’s loved ones to get what they want.

Lucky for her, Nica’s not alone and has some backup to help her through this situation.

Will Nica be able to save her men for danger she’s unwilling brought into their lives?

Will Tanner and Jensen just Nica go without a fight?

Or will the evil organization make Nica’s loved ones pay the ultimate price for her negative response?

Seduced by Two is full of drama, action, sexual tension and lots of love making scenes by three intriguing characters.

There’s plenty more that I could say about how much I enjoyed reading Seduced by Two, but that would definitely ruin it for many readers. I sure as hell don’t want an angry mob coming after me for ruining the book for them.

I give Seduced by Two a rating of 5 Stars.

Everyone meet Margarine Butter--Remy just did. Their lives will now never the same again.

Margie Butter is currently working at a greasy diner trying to safe up some money to buy her dream home. She longs to have a place to grow some roots and maybe raise a family someday.

She works the tables in the diner when she literally is knocked off her feet when she meets Remy Montgomery. Unlucky for her, Margie is fired for this mishap.

As she heads towards her Harley, Margie is approached by Remy. She thinks Remy trying to proposition her. Margie rather sells out and buys a car than take Remy up on his proposition. She drives off with a smile on her face when she leaves the man with the huge ego in the dust.

Margie and Remy meet up again when she is on a coffee delivery. She is currently trying to reach an itch caused by her uniform. In the elevator behind an unknown to Margie is Remy. He is currently enjoying the look of some sexiest legs he has seen. Remy thinks that his companion is trying to seduce. No way in hell is that happening Remy boy.

Margie is shocked to discover that she is not alone but that it is the man trying to buy her is next to her.

Not even Remy’s disapproving mother, the conniving bitch Gloria or the superficial bastard of Clay can destroy Margie.

She is a fighter but deep down Margie’s also a woman with the heart of gold.

Author Debra Kayn returns with a brand new book, Biker Babe in Black. In Biker Babe in Black introduces to characters that are anything but ordinary and mundane.

I love the originality of the characters names and this storyline.

Biker Babe in Black has the sweet charm of She’s All That and sensual and angst filled drama of Pretty Woman.

This has to be the most entertaining and angst filled drama that has yet to get old for me. I have read Biker Babe in Black so many times that I have lost count.

This book is just tremendously sexy, charming that has may make more than reader cry. Readers may cry but will not hate Ms. Debra Kayn for it.

I love the journey Margie goes through to realize that she deserves to be loved by someone as Remy Montgomery.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Seduced by Magic. The heroine is one crazy ass woman. She may have started off as a bitch in this book but I soon realize that‘s just part of her own charm. She is such a fascinating character to read about and you cannot help but laugh at the predicament she put herself in now. Whenever Justin and Scarlata are within distance between, the sparks fly and the scenes become scorching hot.

I so enjoyed discovering the mystery surrounding Justin and his family. Even loved reading about the secondary characters such as Sal and Nortia. Cannot forget to mention just how much I love the nicknames, Ms. Julian gives to her characters.

After graduating from Penn State with an English degree (and parents who never once said (but had to be thinking) "What the hell are you going to do with an English degree?"), I took a job at a newspaper because the only thing I wanted to do was write and they were going to pay me to do it. And I needed the job. Covering municipal government meetings gave me plenty of time to think about exactly what I wanted to write. For me there was really no choice. It was romance all the way.

So, about 10 years ago, I decided to rekindle my childhood dream of writing romance, joined Romance Writers of America and Valley Forge Romance Writers and set about becoming published.

Sol tries to play it cool so he does not scare Darina away with his true intentions. There is nothing he would not do for Darina, Sol hopes that maybe she will feel something for him too.

Now if only he can convince Darina that what start out as just sex can be something worth fighting for.

There's more. Oh yes, there's plenty more. Marc isn't going to let someone like Sol just take away 'his woman.'　

There are many sexy love scenes between Sol and Darina, which can be annoying in some books. However, Missy Jane has a way of keeping the sex scenes original and breathtaking that will keep plenty of readers begging for more.
　
　
I can only imagine just how sexy and exciting her next novel will be. I hope Missy Jane will not make us wait too long until her next book comes out.

About five years ago I read a fabulous book by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory titled The Outstretched Shadow.
I fell in love with the characters in that book and when it ended I wanted to cry. I've always had a vivid imagination, but that book seemed to break loose something within me I hadn't realized needed freedom and before I could stop myself...
I began to write.
Ms. Missy Jane is the alter ego of a Texas mother of four who has been married to the same wonderful man for thirteen years. About five years ago Missy finished reading a book by Mercedes Lackey and thought "Now, what if..." and a monster was created.
Missy now spends most of her time lost in worlds of her own making
alternately loving and hating such creatures as vampires, shape-shifters and gargoyles (to name a few). When not writing, she spends her time reading, taking photos of her beautiful daughters and training her husband to believe she's always right.

Luckily, for Karen, she still has her husband Jason at her side. He continues to donate blood for Karen and be a good father for the twins. Unfortunately, Anna cannot help but feel that she needs more than Jason can provide. Therefore, she seeks out love, affection from places few people have rarely seen.
The years pass by and the twins grow into their powers. Anna continues to act out behind her parent’s back. Andy discovers a completely new side to himself.
Lisa Lane brings fans and new readers the latest addition to her trilogy of The Darkness and the Night- Twins of Darkness to life. In this book, the twins are front and center of the story. Ms. Lisa creates a hell of lot of action, drama, suspense and rule breaking adventure-seeking twins.
Anna does not feel like she belongs anywhere. She especially feels like an outsider in her own family. She is no longer close with her twin brother, Andy.
Andy is the popular kid in school unlike his sister. Currently dating one the hottest girls in school, he feels like nothing could go wrong. Boy, is ever wrong about that. Andy discovers his ‘vampire’ side at the worst possible time.

Meanwhile Anna continues to seek out more ways to get energy from souls. On one particular visit, she meets the man that has made her mother’s life a living hell. Anna comes face to face with the man who murdered her father, Billy.
　
I can go on and on about how awesome this latest book is, but I do not want to ruin it for Ms. Lisa’s fans and readers.

With the shocking and climatic ending, the author left it will not disappoint any reader. I definitely chose this book as my top pick of the week!

　I am a writer. Writing is my passion, my release, and my escape. My day is not complete unless I write at least a few pages, and I craft sentences and redraft chapters as I drift off to sleep each night. It is quite safe to say that I obsess over the written word. I see words as broken shards of colored glass: alone they are worthless, but when placed together in just the right way they have the potential to form great masterpieces. Of the works I feel are finished or in the process of redraft, I can claim seven novels: two literary, one narrative nonfiction, three erotic horrors, and one erotic romantic sci-fi. I have adapted three of my original novels into screenplays. I also have four original screenplays,as well as a collection of short stories and essays. My stories range from literary, science fiction, and horror to lighthearted comedy, romance/erotica, and heartfelt confession. Let me start off with the good stuff.　　

What has been the best part of being an published author?

It's hard work, and it's being a business owner where you do all the heavy lifting on the front end, then team up with others in publicity and editing on the back end to complete the project. I work harder for myself than I ever worked for others, and I'm no slacker. No complaints and definitely no regrets. I'm getting to do something I enjoy doing.
After many years of successful books under your belt, does it still thrill you when you receive in your hands your latest novel?
The completion of a project still amazes me. It all starts with one idea... then one sentence...

Can you tell us what it took for you to complete your latest novel, Resurrecting Midnight?

I spent a lot of time in South America, in an area where there was, for the most part, no English. It took a lot of determination and discipline.

What was it like visiting Argentina?

It was great. Would love to go back for two months and immerse myself in the language and culture. And it was interesting looking at the U.S. through the eyes of another non-English speaking country.

In all your travels, where has been your favorite place to visit so far?

Hands down, London. Because of the theater and the transportation. And there was no language barrier, but I do want to learn other languages. Antigua is a close second. I love Antigua because it's 180 degrees from being London. Very peaceful. 360 beaches.

What’s like being best selling author Eric Jerome Dickey?

I'm just another Joe working to pay his bills.

Can you describe one day in the life of Eric Jerome Dickey?

Same as everyone else's. Nothing special. Writing, laundry, writing, car wash, writing, eating, writing, working out, writing, watching tv, writing... not too exciting. Just normal.

Watching a writer work is about as boring as boring can get.

After writing so many bestsellers, what inspires you to keep on writing these amazing Gideon novels?

I have bills.

Can you tell us a bit about Resurrecting Midnight? Can you give us a little teaser about Gideon’s newest adventure?

What is the one thing that can surprise your fans and readers about you.

Honestly, I have no idea. Hopefully the writing is a surprise to them, in a good way. I have a long way to go, and I hope I'm getting a little better as the years go by.

Do you have a special ritual when creating new novels?

Nope. Just work work work. It's a job. Some people only see the end result, and they think it's not work, but it's job. A hard job at that.

Are you working on anything new right now that you might tease us about?

Gideon is one of the best assassins in the world. Gideon knows that the only person he can really count on is himself. However, that does not stop from being human and making some mistakes.

Let us just hope this mistake does not cost him-his life.

When a former lover wants to meet with him, Gideon cannot help but feel excited. That is until he discovers just why Arizona wants to meet him. She makes him promise to this job for her.

Things get out of hand and Gideon knows the shit is about the hit the fan. He knows that someone is after him but no clue just yet that he/she, he, or she is. What do they want from him?

Is there someone from his past that is coming to bite in the ass? Whoever that person is, Gideon knows that it could very well be the last thing he does.

I am newbie when comes to reading Mr. Eric’s novels. It sure made me feel like I was living under a rock to have just now discovered Gideon the assassin series.
　
　

From the very beginning, Mr. Eric captivated my attention with his character, Gideon that would not release me until I finished the whole book. It held my attention away from everything and everyone to the very end.

Mr. Eric Jerome Dickey’s Resurrecting Midnight can very well become plenty of reader’s new form of addiction. It could also be the cause of plenty of new readers to hunt out other books in this series.

For a newbie such as myself, I did not feel lost when I read Mr. Eric’s book. He kept me fully informed about what I missed in Gideon’s previous novels. Yet again, it has not stopped me from searching for all previous additions to Gideon’s adventures.

Fans and new readers will not be mad after reading Resurrecting Midnight. I do not have any clue about the previous Gideon’s novels, but if Mr. Eric is known to leave cliffhangers like that than I will not hold it against him. It definitely left me craving more and more Gideon’s novels.

By the way, have I mention I crave a hell of a lot more?

I can honestly say that Eric Jerome Dickey has made a new fan for life in me.

Eric Jerome Dickey was born in Memphis, Tennessee and attended the University of Memphis (the former Memphis State), where he earned his degree in Computer System Technology. In 1983, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in engineering.
After landing a job in the aerospace industry as a software developer, Eric Jerome Dickey's artistic talents surfaced, inspiring him to become an actor and a stand-up comedian. Yet Eric quickly found out that writing was something he could do and do well. From creative writing classes to avidly consuming the works of his favorite authors, Eric Jerome Dickey began to shape a writing career of his own. Having written several scripts for his personal comedy act, he started writing poetry and short stories. "The film work gave me insight into character development, the acting classes helped me understand motivation...All of it goes hand in hand," Eric explains. He joined the IBWA (International Black Writers and Artists), participated in their development workshops, and became a recipient of the IBWA SEED Scholarship to attend UCLA's Creative Writing classes. In 1994 his first published short story, "Thirteen," appeared in the IBWA's River Crossing: Voices of the Diaspora-An Anthology of the International Black Experience. A second short story, "Days Gone By," was published in the magazine A Place to Enter.
　
Eric Jerome Dickey's novels, Chasing Destiny, Liar's Game, Between Lovers, Thieves' Paradise, The Other Woman, Drive Me Crazy, Genevieve, Naughty or Nice, Sleeping with Strangers, Waking with Enemies, and Pleasure have all earned him the success of a spot on The New York Times bestseller list. In June 2002, Dickey contributed to Black Silk: A Collection of African American Erotica (Warner Books) as well as to Riots Beneath the Baobab (published by International Black Writers and Artists of Los Angeles in April 2002). His books have held steady positions on regional bestseller lists and have been featured in many publications, including ESSENCE, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Los Angeles Times. Dickey's last novel, Pleasure, held true to form and landed on bestseller lists for The New York Times, USA Today, and ESSENCE.
