Lady Olivia was just minding her business, but her friends just had to fill her head with a certain gossip about her new neighbor, Sir Harry Valentine. Of course, Olivia couldn’t believe that nonsense. Of course its up to her to prove her friends wrong. Sir Harry doesn’t seem like that type to harm a lady. So who could blame her for secretly ‘spying’ on her neighbor.
Sir Harry Valentine didn’t have an easy life growing up. As soon as he could, Harry left all his family troubles behind. An unexpected choice changed the course of his life. His life was never the same, but he wouldn’t trade his life for anything. He learns a certain Prince is coming to London to visit a family member. His plan is to stop all treason that the Prince. What he didn’t count on was fate stepping in with a certain beautiful next door neighbor spying on him.
Lady Olivia is currently bored listening to her friends gossip when the topic of her neighbor comes up. She doesn’t believe anything they say. But they manage to put doubts in her mind. Well she decided to put end to that rumor by observing her neighbor. Since Olivia has plenty time on her hands she continues to watch Sir Harry Valentine. Harry starts to do things that piques her interests. But unlike a real great spy, Olivia is caught snooping by Harry. She hopes he really didn’t see her but an amused Harry introduces himself to his flustered neighbor.
But no matter what happens between Harry and Olivia, he must put all his attention to what he really brought him to London. Harry must put all his energy to discover what the Prince is really up to.
The Prince finds himself interested in the lovely Lady Olivia. Harry decided to court Olivia in his own way while using her to get to the Prince.

In What Happens In London introduces one kind hero/heroine, Harry and Olivia. Harry and Olivia are two characters that you don’t know if you want them to kiss each silly or just want to smack their heads for being so stubborn.
Olivia is looking someone special. She never thought he would show up as her mysterious next door neighbor. Now she wishes him to go away but Harry has other plans for her.
Harry manages to push all of Olivia’s buttons. He loves to see her all flushed and flustered. Every time he meets up with Olivia, Harry finds himself falling more and more for her.
In the back story, the Prince isn’t what Harry and his cousin Sebastian seem to be. And when things finally heat up between Olivia and Harry, she disappears. Harry teams up with Sebastian and the Prince to rescue his damsel. Throughout the whole book, Harry and Olivia keep up with their banter and slowly fall in love with each other.
And who can forget about the secondary characters like Olivia’s twin brother Winston, Harry’s cousin Sebastian and of course the Prince.
What Happens In London is what historical romances should be. The main characters slowly fall in love after all the banter and working through their kinks. I enjoyed Harry’s seduction of Olivia. Not to mention how adorable and creative new way Harry proposes marriage to Olivia.
Julia Quinn sure knows how to manage heat up the pages with Harry and Olivia romantic scenes.
Which ever the wind blows way, What Happens In London will fly into many readers hearts.
