Book Review:
Mara has a ‘prisoner’ of the wretched Queen Nalia ever since she was young. To work of the debt of her brother, Mara became a servant for the queen until she saw fit. She always complied with jobs Queen Nalia that is until the day she was sent to capture a womanizing thief. Mara had no idea what was in store for her once she met Dasheel Ryder.
Dasheel Rhyder has just met the woman that is going to break his fast. He’s hasn’t been with a woman for a while now and tonight he just found the woman to spend a great night with. Unfortunately, for him, Mara was just playing him.
Poor Dash thought he was going to have the night of his life. Shame on Mara for tricking him like. You don’t do just some things to sexy man like Dash.
On the other hand, the life of her brother is at stake. Mara has no choice to follow the queen bitch’s orders or her brother will pay the ultimate price.
Mara delivers Dash to the queen as order. But just when she thought the job was over, the queen sends both Dash and Mara on a mission to retrieve the rune.
Before they even leave on their adventure, Dash manages to get under Mara’s skin. He can’t help be his charming self around Mara. They both have an itch that can only be eased by each other.
I have to hand it to Ms. Jodi Redford. Her newest book, Lover Enslaved is the most original with sexy heroes and strong willed heroines and sidekicks.
I had such a blast reading Lover Enslaved. From the very beginning, I was hooked on Ms. Redford book.
Dash and Mara are wonderful characters but the one that stole the show is tiny Piper. She totally rocks!
Piper comes off like a little pain in the ass but as the story, moves on you can’t help but love the little devil. I loved the banter between Piper and Mara. Classic!
As the story, progresses we are introduced to Dash’s brother Jerrick and a former sidekick Avily Donahue. Jerrick and Avily have their own sexual tension going on that should distract readers from Mara and Dash’s storyline. But they just add to their own special magic to Lover Enslaved. Can’t help but be hopeful that Jerrick and Avily will get their own story.
There is plenty of more action, drama and hilarious sexy love scenes. Last but no least I want to pay homage to Ms. Jodi Redford for creating this story, characters plus the one and only Piper.
I give Lover Enslaved a rating five Screams.
