Book Description:

When humorist Sarah Schmelling transformed Hamlet into a Facebook news feed on McSweeney’s, it launched the next big humor trend—Facebook lit. In this world, the king “pokes” the queen, Hamlet becomes a fan of daggers, and Ophelia renounces her interest in moody princes. Now, what began as an internet phenomenon is a book. Ophelia Joined The Group Maidens Who Don’t Float: Classic Lit Signs on to Facebook is a clever spoof of the most-trafficked social networking website and a playful game of literary who’s who. The book brings more than fifty authors and stories from classic literature back to life and online, and it is sure to have book lovers and Facebook addicts alike twittering with joy.

Book Review:

This will be my shortest review ever.

There are a plenty of comedy books written today but this one just takes the cake. With everyone addicted to social network sites such as Facebook and Twitter, its no wonder why there are not more books like this one.

There is only so much more I can describe and say about Sarah Schmelling’s Ophelia Joined The Group Maidens Who Don’t Float.

I do have a warning for all readers.

I do not recommend drinking and/or eating when reading this book.

It is LOL hilarious!

Do not take my word for it, readers. This is the must read comedy of 2009.

All in all, not bad for a first time book published author.

I give Ophelia Joined The Group Maidens Who Don’t Float a rating of 4 Stars!
